So you know what? this image doesn’t have any clear evidence it’s real due to the unclear formatting and lack of of a physical phone along with the screenshot shown. Those supposed snapchat screenshots looked more convincing than this. Unless whoever has this alleged iMessage screenshot can actually take out their physical phone and record proof it’s a real, unedited message just like those snapchat screenshots, I don’t believe this one. Let’s say it was real hypothetically. Tell me why one of the accused guy’s himself is apologizing for something, messaged her first, and added things “got out of hand” what would out of hand mean in this context? Sounds kind of suspicious to me in the least. What did he want to shut down? Why? If this alleged screenshot is indeed true, tell me, why were all of these specific key words said? Also, notice how the secondary message supposedly from the alleged victim is cut off and not shown, why is this? All reposts of this specific alleged message going around never include the second paragraph of that message, so tell me, why is that? What reason is given from the supposed doxxers to never include that part? Let’s say this screenshot was indeed true, what is stopping anyone from hiding the second paragraph? Could it possibly contain more information proving the likelihood of the alleged rape(s)? Besides that, if we continue the hypothetical scenario this screenshot is indeed true, people must realize this communication was supposedly made very soon after the alleged assault of Jane Doe. Many victims of sexual assault and/or rape soon after the incident, no matter the gender of the victim, have a tendency to deny what happened to them at first or “flaunt”. The reason for this common behaviour from most victims usually has various explanations as to why their brains mentally deny their assault(s) at first. However, more often than not they later on come to realization of what really happened to them. Their brains usually stop using a mental shield to protect themselves from severe trauma, such protection is only temporary. It is a common process our brains use to cope with severe psychological traumatic impact. Again, there are plenty varied valid reasons besides this one. It’s safer to assume this is the case for the victim, Jane Doe, rather than automatically assume it’s a false accusation. Nearly all victims of sexual assault and/or rape exhibit symptoms of temporary denial, forgetfulness of events and specific dates, and lack of evidence. Remember, there is no perfect victim. Many, many victims make regretful mistakes themselves, but obviously never ones as bad as the attackers/perpetrators themselves of course. The best thing we can all do for now is safely assume the woman sharing her experiences of rape and trying to make her voice heard is telling the truth. In the end, it’s always much more reasonable to let the victim’s voice be heard, and believe a potential victim rather than one (or in this case allegedly) multiple rapists.
