I'm glad you created this. No one seems to understand that this is a / a civil case not a criminal case. Essentially a money grab. Hey,I'm off work that's why we have civil courts. I used it once myself. However, I don't think that you get to be anonymous in a civil proceeding. There have been some serious serious allegations thrown around, and Miss Lucy Craig seems to think that everyone is responsible besides herself. This is a money grab. Simple. She's sued everybody and anybody with a deep pocket that she can think of. Why is Cornell responsible? You willingly took your clothes off. Why is the sororities responsible? You willingly consumed alcohol on their premises when you are underage. Why is the bar responsible? You claim that they served you and you were underage. Did you pay for it? Did you drink it? Did they pour it down your throat? I don't think so. Did you really go to the frat house when you were "super drunk"? Yes, the law says you can't consent when you're drunk. What about the men? Did they consent? They also were allegedly very very intoxicated. Why are they solely responsible here? I'm not saying that sexual assault is okay. It's not. it's never okay. But there are a whole lot of allegations that have come out in other cases like Duke University and the Central Park five that showed that these allegations were made up. But the problem with the Lucy Craigs of the world is that for the women who genuinely do take every precaution i.e, not getting s*** faced, not getting naked with two men at a fraternity house, not sending texts that shows her actions were and consensual and "mind-blowing" and then retracting those statements, for those women the Lucy Craig's of the world make genuine sexual assault prosecution in a criminal context exceedingly difficult, if not impossible. Convenient that she wants to remain anonymous, and yet is willing to out everybody else, who have faced really really unfortunate outcomes based on rumor and conjecture. HER rumor and conjecture.
