Feminists, this is not the
time to center yt cis women.
ICE is actively terrorizing BIPOC communities right now —
Black and Brown men and women being profiled, detained,
ripped from their families, and disappeared into a system
designed to crush them. White feminism that still puts white
cis women at the center of this moment is not solidarity.
It’s erasure. It’s the same old pattern of making the most
privileged the default subjects of our care while the most
targeted are treated as background noise.
Intersectionality is not a suggestion. It means we center
the people actually under the boot. That means BIPOC men
facing racialized criminalization and deportation, and BIPOC
women facing the compounded violence of race, gender,
and state power. Their lives are on the line. Their voices
should lead.
White cis women have had the mic for long enough.
Right now, amplify BIPOC men and women.
Protect them. Followtheirlead. _
Anything lessis just performance. (7*
