[00:00] Nothing surprised me about her not getting justice, her not being believed in, but I want
[00:03] her to know that all of us here believe in her and we're trying, we're trying so hard
[00:06] for her.
[00:07] We are at Fully Square in downtown Manhattan where there's a rally being held in support
[00:13] of Jane Doe.
[00:14] I've heard from young women students who have endured their own experiences of sexual
[00:19] assault.
[00:20] What I've been hearing from many of the people that I've talked to here, especially
[00:23] young women is that it's surprising to them that at this height in 2026 they have
[00:31] and the friends have and so many people they know have had experiences of sexual
[00:36] violence and sexual assault. To some of them this case shows such a division
[00:44] online that the public at large is more willing to doubt sexual assault
[00:49] claims do not believe victims that somebody told me I feel like people are
[00:55] in denial and it's easier to believe that somebody made up a claim than it is to
[01:01] accept how prevalent sexual assault is. When you say I am Jane Doe, what are you
[01:07] saying? I'm a survivor of sexual assault. I got sexually assaulted when I was...
[01:13] It happened for about a year but it stopped when I was about eight years old.
[01:17] I think I was privileged to have a family that believed me because not everyone has that.
[01:22] So I think it's important to be here, to be the voice of people that aren't believed in
[01:28] because I want them to know that I believe them.
[01:31] And I want to be here for children that are survivors of sexual assault and for any
[01:37] woman because every woman has a story, whether everyone wants to believe it or not.
[01:42] It's really disappointing that we live like this and we don't deserve to live
[01:45] like this but I'm tired of showing up to protests like this like this is
[01:50] ridiculous I'm 19 I should not have been showing up to multiple protests at this
[01:54] time in my life yeah I it's baffling that people don't see an issue that
[02:01] these people are still on campus or they just throw essays if Jane Doe is
[02:05] seeing this if she's watching this live stream if she happens to see my
[02:08] poster by any chance that I am Jane Doe as well and I know that if there
[02:14] was a protest for me or for anyone else that she would show up to.
