Re:
Lopes, Gillio v. Hochul, et al.
Supreme Court, Albany County | Index No. 911974-26

Dear Justice Farrell:
This firm represents Petitioner in the above-referenced matter. I write today to respectfully
request permission to file a reply memorandum of law in further support of the verified petition
and in reply to Respondents’ answer and opposition of up to 6,500 words.
Pursuant to 22 NYCRR § 202.8-b and this Court’s rules, a reply memorandum of law is
limited to 4,200 words.
By letter dated October 20, 2026 (NYSCEF Doc. No. 16), Respondents requested
permission to file a memorandum of law in opposition to the verified petition and in support of
their answer of up to 12,000 words, so that they may assert both their objections in point of law
and their opposition to the merits of Petitioner’s application in a single submission. To adequately
address both Respondents’ objections in point of law, as well as their arguments on the merits of
Petitioner’s application, Petitioner requires additional words
Accordingly, Petitioner respectfully requests permission to file a reply memorandum of
law in further support of the verified petition of up to 6,500 words.
