into an ethics documentary and I don't think the people who made this have any idea\n[00:09] how much fun I am about to have with this because apparently these investigative geniuses managed\n[00:14] to find my video about Jane Doe in the Cornell 7 at least one of my videos but apparently watching\n[00:19] the entire video was just a little too much to ask so this is the clip that they decided to use\n[00:25] Consent to two men is not consent to everybody in the fraternity house ground breaking\n[00:29] I know and the way that they presented it makes me look like I am absolutely supporting Jane Doe except for sweet cheeks\n[00:35] I don't and I've made that\n[00:38] Abundantly clear you see I find it funny that you made me look like I am some super uber feminist believe all women cheerleader and oh honey\n[00:45] Couldn't pop if that is what brought you to my page\n[00:48] Yeah, you're gonna really hate it here because that clip came from a three-minute video where I specifically said if\n[00:54] if she was sexually assaulted.\n[00:56] If, because at that time when I made that video,\n[00:59] we did not have all of the full facts.\n[01:01] But you see, then I made another video,\n[01:03] not even 24 hours after that first video,\n[01:05] and I corrected one thing that I took back,\n[01:08] where I called her a victim.\n[01:09] So the video that Netflix used\n[01:10] had 145,000 views on Instagram.\n[01:13] The follow-up video that they so conveniently skipped over\n[01:17] has almost a million.\n[01:18] And the thumbnail literally says, I was wrong.\n[01:21] apparently an entire documentary production team\n[01:24] got defeated by an Instagram thumbnail.\n[01:26] But I did my research and I started pulling strings\n[01:29] and let's meet the professionals behind this.\n[01:30] Words and pictures.\n[01:32] The executive producer with credits like,\n[01:34] I don't know, The Last Dance, 30 for 30,\n[01:36] the OJ story that made in America.\n[01:38] It's an impressive collection of resumes\n[01:40] for a production that apparently could not find\n[01:42] a part two on Instagram.\n[01:43] Oh, and the executive producer,\n[01:44] Josh Tyringill said something\n[01:45] that I find absolutely beautiful.\n[01:47] The best documentaries don't just capture history,\n[01:49] They shape how we understand it.\n[01:52] Is that what we're calling it now, Josh?\n[01:53] Sweet cheeks, you mean shaping the story\n[01:55] into whatever you want your audience to believe.\n[01:57] Because you took one sentence about consent,\n[01:59] you left out the rest of my position\n[02:01] and made me look like I am waving the flag over here\n[02:03] for Jane Doe.\n[02:04] Josh, sweet cheeks, there's a word for shaping a story\n[02:07] by leaving out information\n[02:08] that changes how people understand it.\n[02:10] Manipulation.\n[02:12] And just because you slapped a Netflix logo on,\n[02:13] it doesn't magically turn it into actual journalism.\n[02:15] It just gives your bullshit a bigger production budget.\n[02:18] But I do have some questions.\n[02:20] Who researched this?\n[02:21] Who edited it?\n[02:22] Who fact-checked it?\n[02:23] Did anybody on your team watch my videos?\n[02:26] Or did six executive producers collectively lose a game\n[02:29] of hide and seek to an Instagram reel?\n[02:30] So Josh, Steve, Connor, I have an invitation for you.\n[02:34] Come on to The Salted Truth.\n[02:35] Bring your editors, bring your researchers,\n[02:37] bring the entire production team\n[02:39] if you need your little emotional support team.\n[02:41] Because I have both videos, I've got the receipts\n[02:44] and I've got a microphone.\n[02:45] And when I was wrong, I had the balls to say it.\n[02:48] Now let's see if whether you do too.\n[02:50] You went in my face in your documentary.\n[02:52] Congratulations, sweet cheeks.\n[02:53] You just made yourselves the next story.\n[02:55] Have the day you deserve it.","thumbnailUrl":"https://lucycraig.blog/media/742/thumb.webp","transcriptSegments":[{"end":4.4,"start":0.0,"text":"y'all somebody sent me something last night and I have been waiting
