[00:00] y'all somebody sent me something last night and I have been waiting all night to talk about this
[00:04] I made it into an ethics documentary and I don't think the people who made this have any idea
[00:09] how much fun I am about to have with this because apparently these investigative geniuses managed
[00:14] to find my video about Jane Doe in the Cornell 7 at least one of my videos but apparently watching
[00:19] the entire video was just a little too much to ask so this is the clip that they decided to use
[00:25] Consent to two men is not consent to everybody in the fraternity house ground breaking
[00:29] I know and the way that they presented it makes me look like I am absolutely supporting Jane Doe except for sweet cheeks
[00:35] I don't and I've made that
[00:38] Abundantly clear you see I find it funny that you made me look like I am some super uber feminist believe all women cheerleader and oh honey
[00:45] Couldn't pop if that is what brought you to my page
[00:48] Yeah, you're gonna really hate it here because that clip came from a three-minute video where I specifically said if
[00:54] if she was sexually assaulted.
[00:56] If, because at that time when I made that video,
[00:59] we did not have all of the full facts.
[01:01] But you see, then I made another video,
[01:03] not even 24 hours after that first video,
[01:05] and I corrected one thing that I took back,
[01:08] where I called her a victim.
[01:09] So the video that Netflix used
[01:10] had 145,000 views on Instagram.
[01:13] The follow-up video that they so conveniently skipped over
[01:17] has almost a million.
[01:18] And the thumbnail literally says, I was wrong.
[01:21] apparently an entire documentary production team
[01:24] got defeated by an Instagram thumbnail.
[01:26] But I did my research and I started pulling strings
[01:29] and let's meet the professionals behind this.
[01:30] Words and pictures.
[01:32] The executive producer with credits like,
[01:34] I don't know, The Last Dance, 30 for 30,
[01:36] the OJ story that made in America.
[01:38] It's an impressive collection of resumes
[01:40] for a production that apparently could not find
[01:42] a part two on Instagram.
[01:43] Oh, and the executive producer,
[01:44] Josh Tyringill said something
[01:45] that I find absolutely beautiful.
[01:47] The best documentaries don't just capture history,
[01:49] They shape how we understand it.
[01:52] Is that what we're calling it now, Josh?
[01:53] Sweet cheeks, you mean shaping the story
[01:55] into whatever you want your audience to believe.
[01:57] Because you took one sentence about consent,
[01:59] you left out the rest of my position
[02:01] and made me look like I am waving the flag over here
[02:03] for Jane Doe.
[02:04] Josh, sweet cheeks, there's a word for shaping a story
[02:07] by leaving out information
[02:08] that changes how people understand it.
[02:10] Manipulation.
[02:12] And just because you slapped a Netflix logo on,
[02:13] it doesn't magically turn it into actual journalism.
[02:15] It just gives your bullshit a bigger production budget.
[02:18] But I do have some questions.
[02:20] Who researched this?
[02:21] Who edited it?
[02:22] Who fact-checked it?
[02:23] Did anybody on your team watch my videos?
[02:26] Or did six executive producers collectively lose a game
[02:29] of hide and seek to an Instagram reel?
[02:30] So Josh, Steve, Connor, I have an invitation for you.
[02:34] Come on to The Salted Truth.
[02:35] Bring your editors, bring your researchers,
[02:37] bring the entire production team
[02:39] if you need your little emotional support team.
[02:41] Because I have both videos, I've got the receipts
[02:44] and I've got a microphone.
[02:45] And when I was wrong, I had the balls to say it.
[02:48] Now let's see if whether you do too.
[02:50] You went in my face in your documentary.
[02:52] Congratulations, sweet cheeks.
[02:53] You just made yourselves the next story.
[02:55] Have the day you deserve it.
