Let's get something straight right from the beginning.

Who Is Jane Doe (WIJDR) wasn't created to make friends, kiss asses, protect fragile egos, or serve as another carefully sanitized internet circle jerk where one side gets a megaphone and everybody else gets a suspension notice.

It exists because the internet has become a ridiculous battlefield of mass-reporting campaigns, selective outrage, coordinated complaints, disappearing comments, suspended accounts, and people who apparently believe that if they scream "REPORT!" loud enough, opposing opinions will magically cease to exist.

Well, congratulations.

You've inspired an entire fucking website.

And unlike the social media platforms where a handful of complaints can send somebody's account into digital purgatory, this place isn't operated by a multinational corporation with an itchy ban button and an algorithm that needs a fucking emotional support animal.

This is independently operated, self-hosted, and built for one very specific purpose:

To give EVERY side of the Who Is Jane Doe controversy a place to speak, argue, challenge, criticize, question, defend, expose contradictions, and tell its side of the story without the administrators deciding which opinions deserve oxygen.

Not one side.

Not the popular side.

Not the loudest side.

EVERY. FUCKING. SIDE.

1. WE ARE FREE SPEECH ABSOLUTISTS. DEAL WITH IT.

The administrators of Who Is Jane Doe believe in something that apparently terrifies a remarkable number of people in the modern internet age:

The right to say something that somebody else doesn't fucking like.

Shocking concept, isn't it?

We believe that controversial conversations deserve more speech, not less. That accusations deserve scrutiny. That competing accounts deserve to be heard. That evidence should be examined rather than buried beneath an avalanche of reports and takedown demands.

And that nobody - absolutely nobody - should automatically win an argument because they're better at getting the other person kicked off a platform.

If your position is truthful, defensible, and supported by evidence, then make your fucking argument.

If somebody disagrees, let them respond.

If they're wrong, explain why.

If they're lying, challenge them with evidence.

But if your entire strategy consists of screaming for moderators to make the opposition disappear, perhaps the problem isn't free speech.

Perhaps your argument just sucks.

2. THE ADMINS AREN'T HERE TO BE YOUR FUCKING REFEREES.

Let's make our administrative position crystal clear.

The administrators take no side in the comment sections.

We're not here to crown winners, declare heroes, manufacture villains, or decide whose narrative should dominate the conversation.

We're not your personal public relations department.

We're not your fucking babysitters.

And we certainly aren't your privately contracted Ministry of Approved Opinions.

You don't get special protection because you claim to be the victim. You don't get special protection because you claim to be falsely accused. You don't get special protection because you have followers, lawyers, friends, or an army of people who enjoy smashing the report button.

Everybody gets the same opportunity to speak.

Our moderation philosophy is deliberately simple:

No viewpoint censorship. We don't delete comments because we disagree with them.

No editorial rewriting. Your words remain your words. We aren't here to polish your arguments or sanitize your profanity.

No ideological favoritism. Supporting or opposing a particular person or narrative doesn't earn special treatment.

No spam or repetitive flooding. Commercial spam, automated garbage, and repeated copies of substantially identical comments can be removed. Make your point once or develop your argument instead of shitting the same paragraph into the discussion 47 times.

Beyond those narrow boundaries?

Have at it.

Be sarcastic. Be angry. Be funny. Be blunt. Be articulate. Be spectacularly unimpressed.

You can even be an insufferable asshole.

Just stay on topic.

3. ANONYMOUS SPEECH: BECAUSE NOBODY NEEDS YOUR FUCKING RESUME.

Not everybody wants to attach their real name, employer, family, reputation, and entire personal history to a controversial online discussion.

And why the hell should they? They are not subject of public interest and are just commenters on a public debate.

Anonymous commentary has a legitimate place in public debate, particularly when people fear harassment, retaliation, or social consequences for speaking their minds.

WIJDR is designed to allow participation without publicly identifying yourself.

You don't need to be famous.

You don't need a verified blue checkmark.

You don't need anybody's permission to express an opinion.

Your argument should stand or fall on its own merits, not on who you are or whom you know.

Now, let's be technically clear: public anonymity is not the same as guaranteed, untraceable anonymity. Self-hosting alone doesn't eliminate network metadata, infrastructure records. We aren't going to bullshit you with a 100% anonymity guarantee that technology cannot automatically deliver. Take that into consideration anywhere online. Not just here at WIJDR.

But the principle remains:

You shouldn't have to publicly identify yourself just to participate in a controversial conversation. And we will never bow to legal pressure (mostly because we are not within any jurisdiction that can force us to).

4. SELF-HOSTED, BECAUSE WE'RE SICK OF DIGITAL LANDLORDS.

One of the primary reasons WIJDR exists independently is because relying entirely on somebody else's platform means relying on somebody else's moderation policies, enforcement decisions, and corporate priorities.

We decided to build our own fucking house.

Our own server.

Our own publication.

Our own comment system.

Our own administrative philosophy.

That doesn't mean internet infrastructure providers or applicable laws magically disappear. It means we control our own editorial and moderation decisions rather than outsourcing them to a social media company's automated enforcement system.

Here, a disagreement isn't a community-guidelines violation.

Calling somebody's argument bullshit isn't harassment.

Questioning a public narrative isn't misinformation.

And somebody getting their feelings hurt isn't grounds for deletion.

If you don't like an opinion, challenge it. Don't demand that somebody erase it for you.

5. SECTION 230: WE ARE NOT THE AUTHORS OF YOUR FUCKING COMMENTS.

Let's also discuss the legal framework.

In the United States under 47 U.S.C. § 230, qualifying providers and users of interactive computer services generally receive protection against being treated as the publisher or speaker of content created by other people.

In plain English:

Your comment is YOUR comment. Not the administrator's personal statement, not the website's official position, and not some secret endorsement of whatever magnificent or idiotic thing you decided to type.

Section 230 is not unlimited immunity. It has exceptions, doesn't shield a person from liability for their own unlawful conduct, and does not automatically settle every legal question involving a self-hosted website. That is why we are self hosted and outside the United States jurisdiction.

But it reflects an important legal distinction between operating a forum and personally creating another person's statements.

And that distinction matters.

We're providing a venue for debate.

We're not adopting every allegation, insult, defense, theory, or opinion that appears in the comments.

So if someone writes something you consider completely fucking ridiculous, direct your disagreement toward the argument and its author. We provide reply buttons specifically for that reason.

Don't confuse the existence of a microphone with the endorsement of everything shouted into it.

6. TO THE PEOPLE TRYING TO SILENCE THE OTHER SIDE: THIS ONE'S FOR YOU.

If your preferred method of winning a debate is mass-reporting your opponents, organizing account suspensions, demanding comment removals, or pressuring platforms to erase inconvenient responses, this website is probably going to give you an absolutely spectacular headache.

Because the whole fucking point is that disagreement gets to exist.

The people you dislike get to respond.

The people you disagree with get to present evidence.

The people you accuse get to answer accusations.

And the people who question their defenses get to challenge those defenses too.

Nobody receives an automatic monopoly on the narrative.

Nobody gets to decide that an entire side of the conversation must disappear just because listening to it is uncomfortable.

This isn't a courtroom, and comments aren't verdicts. Allegations aren't automatically facts. Denials aren't automatically proof. Popularity isn't evidence.

Readers are perfectly capable of evaluating competing claims, examining sources, recognizing contradictions, and drawing their own conclusions.

They don't need us spoon-feeding them a preapproved opinion like intellectually helpless toddlers.

7. WE DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHICH SIDE YOU'RE ON.

Let's finish with the most important point.

Are you defending Lucy Craig (aka Jane Doe?) Speak. LOUD.

Are you criticizing Lucy Craig's account? Speak LOUD.

Are you defending someone accused of wrongdoing? Speak LOUD.

Are you questioning that person's explanations? Speak LOUD.

Do you believe the controversy has been deliberately manipulated, selectively reported, or grossly misunderstood? Speak LOUD.

Then present your argument, provide your evidence, and prepare for someone to disagree with you.

We don't care whether you're popular.

We don't care whether your position is fashionable.

We don't care whether you have ten followers or ten million.

We don't care whether your opinion makes someone furious enough to throw their phone across the fucking room.

The administrators are not here to protect anyone from criticism.

We're here to maintain an open forum where competing perspectives can be examined without viewpoint-based interference.

THE BOTTOM LINE: WELCOME TO THE FUCKING CONVERSATION.

Who Is Jane Doe exists because public debate should not be decided by whoever has the largest reporting brigade, the most influential friends, or the quickest access to a platform's suspension machinery.

We believe that more speech is the answer to speech you dislike.

We believe that evidence matters more than outrage.

We believe that ALL opinions deserve to be heard.

We believe that nobody should be silenced simply because their perspective is inconvenient.

And we believe that adults should be allowed to have difficult, ugly, confrontational, profanity-filled discussions without an administrator hovering over their shoulder like an overmedicated kindergarten teacher.

No chosen side. No protected narrative. No viewpoint-based censorship. No fucking participation trophies.

Only a place where every side can speak and readers can decide what they believe.

Bring your facts. Bring your evidence. Bring your arguments. Bring your sarcasm, your criticism, your skepticism, and your most brutally honest opinions. Bring your vulgarity...

Leave the spam and repetitive garbage at the door.

And if somebody disagrees with you?

GOOD. THAT'S THE FUCKING POINT.

We provide the platform. You provide the conversation. Nobody gets to own the fucking narrative.
